Greg Thorn is the Assistant Teaching Professor of Lighting Design and Sound Design at Mississippi State University, as well as a freelance lighting designer based in Starkville, MS. He began his theatrical career at Davidson College, where he received his B.A. in Theatre in 2015. In 2022, he received his M.F.A. in Theatre Arts with a Concentration in Lighting Design from the University of Idaho. His award nominations include Outstanding Lighting Design at the Metrolina Theatre Awards in Charlotte, NC for his work on Mama Mia! in 2019, as well as the same award in 2022 for both Legally Blonde and Noises Off. He has also received several American College Theatre Festival Faculty Awards of Merit for his design work at Mississippi State.
